Everyone has their own axe to grind

I've been passionate about hobbies my whole life. I love learning, researching and developing new skills. Some of these skills have proven useful in my career, and some are just for me to enjoy. Here I’ll write about my latest eco-friendly hobby. The one that makes life better and helps me unwind at the end of a long week of work.

I wish I weren't peniless…

Have you ever thought that one never sees reality shows with those less fortunate? The television doesn’t show a bunch of hard-up amateur swimmers acrobatically jumping into a run-down swimming pool. One would not watch a prime-time programme unveiling a cramped and shoddily furnished one-bedroom flat in a working-class neighbourhood. Do you wonder why these kind of low-income citizens would not appeal to the viewers?

My pet hate is football

I am fully aware of the fact that I am not human. I've got four legs and ten teats; I am covered in hair and I love a good scratch. Don't worry, I am a dog. Would you be surprised if I told you that my pet hate is football?. I am fed up to the back teeth, sick and tired of it. Why?. Because I will never get used to seeing my sweet, lovely and enchanting owner swearing like a trooper.

Childhood memories

The person who influenced me most in my childhood is undoubtedly my grandmother on my mother's side. I vividly remember her sitting near the stove, on one of her storytelling sessions in the evening, which was open to everyone who wanted to have a good time.

Possibly, most of us have some sort of hobby. It starts as something one does for fun, just to relish some enjoyable activity. In this field, alongside people who collect objects, we find those who build things and those who take photographs. Nevertheless, there are some people who step beyond the boundaries and take their pastimes to the next level.
